Serhado

Serhado is the pioneer of Kurmancî-language rap: the first artist to prove, over full albums rather than one-off experiments, that the language could carry hip-hop’s flow and weight. Writing from the diaspora about identity, homeland and everyday life between two worlds, he built the template that later Kurdish rappers work from, and his tracks still circulate as the founding documents of the genre.
